This Hinsdale Illinois native is the son of former NHLer, Blackhawk’s developmental coach Yanic. He is a forward with excellent skills. A solid forechecker and decision-maker who reads the ice very well. While his first line-mates on the USA-National Development team (Will Smith and Ryan Leonard) get most of the recognition, but he is also the real deal as a sniper and set-up guy. He has real high end skill and movement, creating at top speed with excellent vision and anticipation. Displays a quick stick and feet, able to get top gear instantly. He’s slippery with his sharp cuts and direction changes, and great instincts in then offensive zone. Darts in holes in the coverage and and needs few opportunities to cash in. Although he plays with high skilled line mates, there are tiles when he drives play.
