Undersized Latvian left shooting defenseman who is an outstanding skater, puck handler and creative offense generator. The Latvian entry to the Under-18 Worlds was a team lacking high end competitive skill at forward, so he made sure to pick up slack with deep pinches, hard passes, and carries that took him into prime scoring areas. Display good vision and was able to make stretch passes. Showed good lateral movement and crisp passes in his attempt to be compete in the attack and defensive zones. Short stocky well balanced and of an aggressive mind-set.
