He is a detailed centre who can play any forward position, but whose skating, balance and stick handling abilities mark him as a better option at center, as he has a strong hockey IQ, and reads and achieves success in setting up the forwards he is paired with. He is six foot and not very heavy but there is plenty room on his frame to add muscle. His fluidity of his pins and hockey head let him slip through coverage seams when a cross ice pass is thrown his way. He is not a burner but is very hockey smart, and makes whoever he lines up with a better offensive weapon. His bread and butter is how he has a strong confidence in his own ability to get inside and have success in traffic of getting shots off in close. Has a good wrister, but he isn’t letting it fly from the perimeter. He loves going to the net. Playing last season for the three USA programs (U-17, U-18, and USHL) he amassed 45 goals and 47 assists. An excellent skater who excels as a distributer on the power play, and a prospect who coaches and teammates love for his commitment to improvement. Projects as a second line centre who can hold his own in battle areas and a high offensive water mark.
